Andover, Ohio- Stephen E. Varckette, President and CEO of The Andover Bank, is proud to announce the following promotion effective January 1, 2019.

Richard B. Kotila was promoted to Senior Vice President and General Counsel.

Mr. Kotila began with The Andover Bank in July of 2006 and has been practicing law for 38 years. He graduated in 1977 from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. In 1980 he received his Juris Doctor from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in Cleveland, Ohio.

He has volunteered with many service organizations, including Rotary, Andover Foundation, and the Andover Civic Improvement Corporation. He is a member of the Ashtabula County, Ohio State, and American Bar Associations and the American Federation of Musicians. In 2011, he was a recipient of the Ashtabula County Medical Center Living Legacy Award and the Andover Rotary Club “World Class Secretary” award. He resides in Roaming Shores, Ohio. 

Mr. Varckette stated, “Although Rich has only been employed by the bank over the past 13 years, he has served as the bank’s attorney since 1982.  He brings invaluable experience and counsel to our team, and his dedication and commitment to the organization is greatly appreciated.”
